Anthony Amore Announces Candidacy For Secretary Of The Commonwealth

SWAMPSCOTT --  Anthony Amore, Security Director at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and a former Homeland Security professional, today announced his candidacy for Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

“I have long felt a call to public service, and have spent my career protecting both my fellow citizens and some of the public’s most valuable works of art,” said Anthony Amore. “A campaign to serve the people of Massachusetts as Secretary of State is a natural extension of that service. As Secretary, I will modernize our government; ensure our elections are conducted honestly and securely; and foster a culture of efficiency that respects opportunities for economic growth.”

Amore has served as a Security Director at the Department of Homeland Security, overseeing and implementing revamped security measures at Logan Airport after the September 11th attacks.

For the past 12 years, Amore has served as the Director of Security and the Chief Investigator at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, managing day to day operations for $2 billion in art holdings.
